Camo loves playing hide-and-seek! But when his colors don't blend in quite the way he expects, Camo discovers that he sees some colors differently than his best friend, Leela.

With a little curiosity and help from a good friend, Camo discovers that we don't all see things the same way-and understanding another person's perspective can help us see things in a new way. Camo provides a heartwarming story about color blindness, friendship, understanding, and perspective.

Along the way, parents and teachers will discover simple ways to describe the world using shapes, patterns, textures, and other helpful clues when color alone isn't enough.

 About the Author:

• My favorite colors are black and white.

• I'm colorblind.

• Most shades of purple look blue to me.

I wrote Camo the Colorblind Chameleon to help children, families, and teachers better understand what it can be like to experience color blindness, and how a little understanding can make a big difference.

Our daughters helped pick out and correct the illustration colors.
